About LTA Dragon Boat Club

Purpose: The team aims to use dragon boating as a means to foster friendships. They are passionate dragon boat enthusiasts committed to promoting the sport in Hong Kong, especially among young people. Their focus is on enhancing physical fitness, willpower, and team spirit through dragon boating.

Team Members: The club comprises over 50 male and female dragon boat enthusiasts. Many of them are young managers from diverse backgrounds. Originally affiliated with the Hong Kong Leadership Training Association, the team separated in 2007 to concentrate more on dragon boat sports. They are now known as the “Leader Dragon” Dragon Boat Club.

Achievements: The team has actively participated in various Hong Kong dragon boat competitions, including events in Sha Tin, Tai Po, Mui Wo, and Discovery Bay. Notably, during the 2006 Dragon Boat Festival, they secured the overall championship in the mixed category at the Dragon Boat Races in Discovery Bay. They also ventured beyond Hong Kong, competing in the China Guangzhou International Dragon Boat Invitational Tournament in 2006, where they achieved fifth place in the “Agile” Hong Kong Cup. Additionally, they expanded their horizons by participating in the International Dragon Boat Invitational Tournament in Singapore and Guangzhou in subsequent years.

Recruitment: The team is actively recruiting new members. Anyone interested in trying dragon boating and aiming to improve physical fitness, willpower, and teamwork spirit is welcome to join. Together, they aspire to create remarkable achievements and enjoy the exhilarating experience of dragon boating! ‍

本龍舟隊宗旨以龍會友。我們是一群龍舟發燒友，聚首一堂，多年致力推廣龍舟運動，以給香港青年人藉龍舟運動提升體能、意志力及團隊精神。
現有男女龍舟隊員50多人，成員多來自社會各行各業之年青管理人員。龍舟隊成立於1998年，原附屬於香港領袖訓練協會，多年致力推廣.領袖訓練活動。2007年初為展望更大發展空間，及更專注推廣龍舟運動，乃脫離領袖訓練協會獨立發展。政府註冊改名為“領袖龍”龍舟會。 
過往每年參加多項香港龍舟比賽，如沙田、大埔、梅窩及愉景灣等，成績斐然。2006年端午節奪得愉景灣龍舟比賽混合組全場總冠軍殊榮。2006年首次_衝出香港，參加中國廣州國際龍舟邀請賽，勇奪“雅居樂”香港杯第五名。為開擴眼界以龍會友，2006年尾更遠赴_新加坡參加國際龍舟邀請賽。2007年再往廣州參賽。
本龍舟隊現招收新會員，歡迎任何有興趣嘗試龍舟運動，希望提升自己體能、意志力及團隊合作精神 之社會各界人仕加入。共創佳績，享受龍舟樂趣。
